Innovation is something that is something that is part of the

forward to today, where Nintendo is riding the wave of their most

community. It's the first time that Nintendo will be making full console
releases available as digital downloads. Sadly, these are all things
that Microsoft and Sony have been doing for years, and, for the most
part, doing well. Nintendo's wait and see attitude may have paid off for
them as a company, but it may have also lost countless gamers to the
competition in the meantime. That's not to say that Nintendo hasn't
crafted an amazing machine in the Wii U, in fact, it's the console that
will singlehandedly change the way people play games for years to

Being
released as two different models, the Basic and the Deluxe, the Wii U
offers gamers choices as to how they want to play.We are pleased to

for the games that support off screen play, you might not have to turn
your TV on at all. Getting stuff loaded in advance might be a good idea,
as that seems to be one of the places that the system struggles –
booting up disc based software and loading system applications. Just
expect that it is going to take longer (really only a few seconds) than
you're likely used to.
Nintendo has made it clear that they
fully supporting pushing the Wii U into the digital age, and that's
evident by the extent of downloadable content that has been promised to
be on the horizon. However, they don't really provide a place for it
all. The Basic model of the Wii U comes with only 8 GB of internal
storage and the Deluxe model has only 32 GBs available – 4.2 GBs of
which is taken up by the operating system. Leaving only 3 GBs of
available space on the Basic model might be enough for owners looking to
store a ton of Virtual Console games, but don't expect it to replace
those discs at retail. Fortunately, Nintendo has allowed for hard drives
up to 2 TB to be connected to the system via USB and serve as a second
storage location. So, problem solved, as long as you have an extra USB
hard drive lying around.

More health woes for some meningitis patients
Some patients who developed fungal meningitis in an outbreak linked
to a Massachusetts compounding pharmacy are experiencing more health
woes, officials said.
Patients are not only developing meningitis, inflammation of the thin tissue surrounding the brain and spinal cord; some are also developing an epidural abscess, which is a collection of pus between the outer covering of the brain and spinal cord and the bones of the skull or spine.
Meningitis is a known complication of an epidural abscess, but what's puzzling some health experts is that some patients were first diagnosed with and treated for meningitis and then developed an abscess.
"This is not typical for fungal disease," says Dr. Tom Chiller, who serves as deputy chief of the CDC's Mycotic (fungal) Diseases Branch. While he and other health officials have been hearing about epidural abscesses since the beginning of the outbreak, it is unclear how many patients have had the abscesses.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention now lists meningitis, epidural abscess and stroke among the 409 cases of fungal infection; it also says 10 people have suffered peripheral joint infections from New England Compounding Center products.
FDA: Drug maker had internal warnings months before outbreak
As of Monday, the total number of illnesses linked to tainted steroid injections produced by the NECC had risen to 419. One more person has died, bringing the total fatalities to 30.
Abscesses are usually found using an MRI. Some meningitis patients underwent an MRI where no abscesses were found, and then two or three weeks later, another MRI detected an abscess after patients reported back pain.
In Michigan, which has the most illnesses connected to the tainted NECC medications, nearly half of the patients have developed an abscess.
As of Monday, the state health department is reporting a total of 119 cases -- 61 cases of meningitis, 51 cases of epidural abscesses, six peripheral joint infections and one stroke. All seven of Michigan's deaths were reported in meningitis patients.

Gulf grows between strong and weak Chinese firms
Ace, which said it’s seeing more than 25% growth this year on top of a
record 2011, claims that investments in technology like automation and
plating of plastics, along with a push into new locations like a
moulding factory in Anhui Province, are giving it new opportunities.
Ace CEO Jack Yeung also is chairman of the Hong Kong Mould and Die Council, and he said from that position, he sees a split in South China’s plastic moulding and mouldmaking industry.
“We’ve seen a lot of the smaller shops who are less competitive or don’t have their niche technology, they are suffering now [and] are running at about 60 percent to 70 percent capacity,” Yeung said. “However, for the stronger companies, the bigger companies that have their core knowledge and customer base, they are all full. That trend is playing out in reports from other companies. China’s largest plastics equipment makers have all reported much tougher conditions lately, with rising wages and a slowing economy in China, along weak exports because of the euro zone crisis, taking a toll.
Hong Kong toy maker Kader Holdings said its contract manufacturing toy business saw sales down 25% in the first half of the year, to $20.2m, with the situation leading some competitors to shut down.
“The global economy is still affected by the uncertainties related to the European sovereign debt crisis,” the company said. “Together with rising operating costs, these factors pose potential challenges to the entire toy industry. Amid the difficult operating environment, a growing number of small-scale toy manufacturers were forced to leave the market.”
Others, however, reported rising sales.
Ningbo, Zhejiang province-based auto parts maker Minth said sales rose 17% in the first half, to $273.4m, as opportunities increased in overseas markets and investments in factories in Thailand and Mexico began to pay off.
Minth said profit rose 12%, with China’s domestic market showing modest growth, its Japanese customers seeing a recovery and the company landing new business with BMW.

The company is adding its third production line for plating of plastics at its facility in Zhuhai, Guangdong province. It started that factory in 2008 and has seen demand increase quickly, Yeung said.
As well, the company acquired the assets of a Hong Kong automation firm recently, and started a unit to bring lean manufacturing into its factories and boost efficiency.
Ace is also launching production of robotic insert moulding in Shanghai to automate production, and moving its injection moulding of engineering plastics to inland China at a new facility in Hefei, Anhui Province, Yeung said.
He spoke in an interview at a late August news conference for the Asiamold trade show, to be held 19-21 September in Guangzhou. The Hong Kong Mould and Die Council is an official supporter of the show.
He said tough financial conditions are causing customers to consolidate their supply base.
“A lot of the customers are asking for financial information before they place the order to insure [suppliers] are in a sound financial situation,Save up to 80% off Ceramic Tile and plastic moulds.” he said. “For the companies who can provide a very good report… these are the companies which the customer will be relying on. Although the economy is slow,How It's Made Plastic injection molds. the amount of business that is still out there is a lot.”

Eel Featured in Perth 'Reef' Series
In 2010 Perth Mint in Australia issued the last coin in its highly desirable “Reef” fish series of five coins depicting a tessalate moray eel (Gymnothorax favagineus) in full color. In this article I want to tell you about moray eels in general and what little specific information exists about the tessalate moray eel. The five animals in the series (all 50 cents denomination) are the lionfish (KM-1100), leafy sea dragon (KM-1101), clownfish (KM-1328), big belly seahorse (KM-1329) and the above eel. An article on the lionfish was published in World Coin News in 2009 (Vol. 36, No. 6) before the Australian coin was issued, so I will not write about this species again. Upcoming articles will include the leafy sea dragon and big belly seahorse.
Moray Eels
The moray eel family contains 15 genera and about 200 species. They dwell mostly in tropical coral reefs, and at least one species lives in fresh water in Australia. Some live in temperate waters. The California moray lives in temperate waters. The largest moray in terms of body mass is the giant moray eel (Gymnothorax javanicus) that is up to 10 feet long and weighs up to 80 pounds. The longest one is the slender giant moray (Strophidon sathete) that can reach 13 feet. The smallest moray may be the Synder’s moray (Anarchias leucurus) that is about 4.5 inches long. All three species occur in the Great Barrier Reef, Australia.
Moray’s dorsal fin begins just back of the head and continues around the tail. They lack pelvic and pectoral fins. Most have quite sharp teeth, even some canines, but a few have flat teeth for crushing shellfish. A large moray can give one an ugly bite. Morays possess a peculiar second set of jaws, also with teeth, called “pharyngeal jaws” that are located in their throat. When an eel grabs prey, these jaws move forward in the mouth cavity, grab the prey and move it down the throat and into the digestive tract. They are the only animals that have this feature.
The gill-openings are small circular-shaped, and in order to respire correctly the mouth must remain open at all times. This is the reason why most photographs show the mouth open. It is not a threat behavior.
Several species are harvested for food, but some species cause ciguatera poisoning, a food-borne illness. It is caused by small single-celled organisms called dinoflagellates that adhere to corals, seaweed and algae in subtropical and tropical waters and that contain toxins. Plant-eating fish consume these and are in turn consumed by carnivorous fish such as morays, barracuda (not the Pacific species), groupers and others. Thus, the toxins move up the food chain, becoming more concentrated. There is no cure for this illness in humans, and it may last 20 years.
People dwelling in southern California, my home, are familiar with “red tides,” which occur when reproducing dinoflagellates increase their numbers to almost unbelievable quantities and turn the ocean a red color. These are dangerous times for many marine animals, and citizens are advised not to eat oysters or clams. So, it is better not to eat morays, in my opinion.
The Moray lives in holes in the sand and among rocks. Its body is covered by a very thick, slimy mucous. It is interesting that this coating also helps to support the walls of holes where they dwell. It picks up sand grains in the mucous, and many are rubbed off onto the walls of its hole, providing a cement-effect. They usually remain hidden in daytime and hunt at night.
